Today has been a rough week for all of us at the clinic. 2 dogs that we all knew and loved lost their battle with cancer. Two cats of family's that we consider our own were put down because of kidney failure We are adjusting to having just fired a member in reception and training one of the treatment girls for a replacement and new position . We've seen a lot of hard cases this week . It's been really tough .
Today we had on our schedule, two dogs to come in one right after the other. The first , was a client whom we have been working with to help her dog after a major fracture repair surgery . she was just in for a simple bandage change and recheck on her leg. The second, was a family that we have never seen before who were putting down their dog of 15 years. Patient #1 was waiting in the lobby while the doctors took her dog back to the treatment area to change the bandage, and was sitting on the bench texting on her phone while patient #2 came in and began to go over the paperwork and cremation options for their dog. they were iffy on wanting the cremations back because it was the more expensive of the choices, but opted for it any way because they loved their dog and wanted her home. So when they brought their dog in we were all trying to hold it together. This was a beautiful yellow lab that just looked like death . could hardly walk , was shaking from the cold, etc. You could just tell she was an old girl who's time had come up . so our treatment staff takes them into the room. Dr. Brady goes in shortly after to talk to the family . While we were all waiting, Patient #1 , who had just gotten her dog back after her bandage changed, comes up and tells me
" Hey Anna, I would like to pay for that family's cremations for their dog "
Mind you this is a woman who has spent well over $5,000 in the past two months alone for surgeries and treatment for her own dog.
I went back and told the treatment girls because I wasn't sure how to technically do that in our system . When I told them they were all truly as blown away as I was, and we all came out into the lobby to figure it out . and when we did, one of the girls went into the room with the family to tell them
" we had a client in the lobby who heard us talking, and has paid for your cremations for your family"
it was truly a nice , kind thing that made such a horrible week just a little bit better.

Summer time Sadness
Been on my own for a couple months now, and it's been pretty rough so far.
The biggest challenge has been the heat of this season. It's been reaching at least 96 degrees Fahrenheit where I live, and its dry heat, which also means lots of wild fires haha.
I've been struggling to stay comfortable in my small apartment, but I find that for a basement it is sweltering in here. I feel so bad for my dogs and my cats, who can't cool off as easy as I can . but I do not have an A/C unit in this apartment, the land lady never had one because she could always just open her fro nt door and keep it open for air flow. I cant do that with my cats.

So I’m going to try posting more art on Patreon instead of Tumblr and Deviant art. I really want to start shifting my focus a little bit more , and working more on rewards and stuff.
So I’ll be posting a lot of my sketches and WIP public ally on my patreon. This means you don’t have to be a patron to see some of my work ( although I wont lie, it would be cool if you did QvQb)
My Patreon can be found here ,

UPDATE: So the votes are in! I'll be doing a Step by Step/ Tutorial on Thanks every one who voted, and stick around for the process !
So I'm trying something new to help self promote.
Once a month, I'll let my watchers pick between two of my finished works, and I'll publish a step by step of the picture OvO
To be able to get more tutorials and step by steps, I started a patreon, which can be found here

but for now I am letting people comment on a deviation to pick which one they want to see a process of
